Tianpeng Wang, CEOTrustiics & Partner, Mistral Venture Capital Partners 

Tianpeng Wang is CEO and Co-founder of Trustiics. He is a U.S. and China trained lawyer with over 15 years in practice at some of the most renowned law firms in China and worldwide including Jingtian & Gongcheng, Clifford Chance, Morrison & Foerster and Linklaters. Tianpeng moved to Canada a few years ago to join his family and left his legal practice in 2016, the same year he became a partner at Mistral Venture Partners.  Tianpeng co-founded Trustiics in 2019 together with his long time friend who is a veteran software architect.

 

Emilia Shi, Senior Partner, Dentons Shanghai

Emilia Shi, registered counsel on Trustiics and currently a senior partner of Dentons Shanghai Office and a corporate lawyer with over 20 years’ experience. Emilia was also a lead compliance officer for two Fortune 500 companies in Asia. Over the years, Emilia has advised many international businesses in their China-related business transactions and successfully represented and guided international businesses through dispute resolutions in China.

 

Paul Tang, Partner, White & Case LLP Hong Kong 

Paul Tang, a Partner of the Hong Kong office of White & Case LLP, one of the most prestigious American Wall Street law firms. Paul is a registered foreign lawyer of the Hong Kong Law Society and is also a member of the New York State Bar and the England and Wales Bar. His expertise is in the areas of Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity and cross-border investments. Paul regularly advises global and Asia-based private equity sponsors in growth capital investments, buyouts, joint ventures, strategic M&A and dispositions across Asia and globally. He has extensive experience advising both multinational corporate clients on their strategic investments in China through Hong Kong as well as advising Chinese companies on their outbound M&A transactions.

 

Mikael Charette, Director, Trustiics Shanghai

Mikael Charette is a Director of Business Development of Trustiics. He is a Québec certified international business lawyer based in Shanghai, China. Mikael has over 15 years of global business experience and has been living in China for over a decade. He has significant experience doing cross-border transactions and investments in China, Canada, Europe, and the U.S. and was the managing partner in China of an international law firm from 2009 to 2015.

 

Daniel Lee, Equity Partner, Jingtian & Gongcheng Shanghai

Daniel Lee, is a registered counsel on Trustiics and currently an equity partner at Jingtian & Gongcheng Shanghai Office. Jingtian & Gongcheng is one of the most prestigious “red-circle” law firms in China. Daniel is a truly international lawyer with bar qualifications in New York, Taiwan and mainland China and holds law degrees from Taiwan National University and Harvard Law School. Daniel has over 20 years of practice experience with the world’s most renowned law firms in their Asian offices, including Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China. He has advised dozens of international businesses in their China-related investment and business activities which also include business investments through Hong Kong.

 

Pierre Wong, Managing Director, Integra Group

Pierre Wong, registered counsel on Trustiics and currently the Managing Director of Integra Group. He has over 20 years of experience in external auditing, financial advisory and business consulting for foreign companies in China. Prior to joining Integra Group, he served in management positions as Head of Shanghai in KCS (now TMF), China Finance Director of CB Richard Ellis, as well as the Senior Manager of KPMG Shanghai office. Pierre has provided practical accounting and business advice to foreign companies over his past 14 years in China. Pierre holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Chartered Accountancy from the University of Waterloo. He is both a member of the Canadian Chartered Accountant and a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). He started his career with Mackenzie Financial, a well respected Mutual fund company in Toronto, Canada before moving to China in 2004. He can speak fluent Mandarin, English and Cantonese.

 

Amy Willis, MBA, CPA, CMA, President,  Hong Kong Canada Business Association (Ottawa) and Director, Pinnacle Global

Amy is President of Hong Kong Canada Business Association - Ottawa and a Director with Pinnacle Global.

Amy has over 10 years’ experience in strategic planning and execution, finance and operations, and investment and partnership development in Canada and Asia. Having spent half of her life in China and the other half in Canada, she has first-hand knowledge of doing business in both China and Canada, including founding and scaling up a start-up to over 160 personnel in four years with the opening of a branch office in China. Her innovative entrepreneurial leadership and unbridled passion for making a real difference have earned her a proven record of success, which has been featured on CBC, CTV, Rogers TV, and in the Ottawa Citizen.  

Amy is fluent in English and Mandarin. She received her MBA from Queen’s University and Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Ottawa. She is also a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accountant (CPA, CMA). Amy also serves on the Board of the Financial Management Institute of Canada (FMI IGF) - Capital Chapter.
