Theme of the Spring Gala:  

The theme of the gala is a celebration of HKCBA’s 40th year of serving our community. We have invited prominent HKCBA Ottawa members - both past and present to share in the festivities. In addition, there will be entertainers and special guests!  

As a special event, a pre-Gala seminar is scheduled. Mark Kruger, former senior policy director of the Bank of Canada, and currently opinion editor at Yicai Global in Shanghai, will be delivering an engaging presentation on three key topics:  

1) Assessing China's macroeconomic situation during and after COVID;  

2) The takeaways from China's "Two Sessions"; and 

3) Chinese technology advancement.

Background  

Founded in 1984, the Hong Kong-Canada Business Association is a non-government, non-profit  bilateral trade association with over 1,000 members in eight member cities (Vancouver, Calgary,  Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Atlantic) in Canada.
