The Three I's
Innovation, Inclusion, and Impact on Global Health and Life Science
Building on the momentum from the Asia Summit on Global Health (ASGH), the HKCBA Ottawa chapter is set to organize a seminar on November 5.
This event aims to transform innovative healthcare ideas into practical solutions and facilitate access to Canadian federal and provincial support programs that drive innovation and growth. The seminar will leverage strong partnerships with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in Toronto, and Invest Hong Kong (Invest HK) to advance these initiatives.
As a success story, the ASGH was organized by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and HKTDC, annually bringing together leading experts and organizations worldwide to explore healthcare innovations and foster international collaboration. In 2024 Spring, the delegation, comprising 34 Canadian delegates from 27 organizations, participated in the Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair, featuring "The Canada Pavilion" organized by the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong.
The seminar’s objectives are:
- Promote the role of Canada and Hong Kong as leaders in global health & life sciences.
- Foster global innovation through robust international partnerships.
- Support diverse entrepreneurial efforts, focusing on ethnic diversity, women and youth.
- Showcase the extensive resources Hong Kong offers in the life sciences and healthcare sector.
Location: W-180 at 1 Wellington Street - a parliamentary building in the Ottawa downtown area, next to Fairmont Château Laurier.
