Member: Hong Kong – Starting Your Belt and Road Journey

16 Apr 2019
5:00pm - 7:45pm EDT

The Belt and Road Initiative is a visionary blueprint that seeks to enhance global economic development, and reinvigorate the seamless flow of capital, goods and services by promoting international connectivity and forging new ties among communities. It offers unprecedented business opportunities in such sectors as infrastructure, transportation, logistics, financing and investment in the beginning. It will also unfold a myriad of opportunities for companies to promote products and services across international boundaries. And, these opportunities are also for Canadian companies to tap. A strategic way for interested Canadian companies to move forward is to leverage the Hong Kong platform as their springboard to these possibilities.

The objectives of this event:

  • Gain insight from a senior executive of a Canadian company that has won international bids from the Belt and Road Initiative

  • Demystify China’s Belt and Road Initiative for Canadian companies

  • Illustrate the relevancy of this Initiative to Canada

  • Identify business opportunities arising from the Initiative for Canadian companies

  • Why Hong Kong is the strategic platform for Canadian companies to tap these business opportunities

Plus, don't miss your opportunity

  • To join the 4th Belt and Road Summit to Hong Kong, where 5,000+ delegates from 50+ countries attended in 2018, resulting in 230+ investment projects

  • To explore the impressive 40+ Canadian trade missions annually to Hong Kong co-organized by HKCBA and learn how companies should leverage these opportunities to reach out to global clients and increase their business footprints in Asia
